Use but don’t abuse … for beer
to retain its protective properties, daily
consumption must not exceed 1 liter of beer, making allowance
for the fact that the alcohol content of each beer will influence the
quantity consumed. Remember that beer is a healthy product,
since it is made of natural ingredients: barley, hops, yeast and 90% water.

The benefits of beer are vast :
|
|
Contrary to common folklore,
beer does not make you fat !
It is a diuretic, and as such it helps the kidneys function and helps
eliminate toxins. It is even recommended for certain weight-loss programs.
For 20cl of beer, there are only 76 Kcal, compared with 96 for
the same quantity of fruit juice. The reason is simple: beer
contains no fats.
Thanks to its content in minerals and vitamins (phosphorus and calcium), beer helps fight arthritis and rheumatism. In short, beer is good for the skeleton. |
|
In moderation and preferably
without alcohol, beer can be recommended
to women who are breast feeding, because it increases and prolongs the
production of maternal milk.
Beer is also an excellent tonic : a pure vitamin cocktail, it restores the body after competitive sports. Beer contains vitamins B1 and B2, which facilitate muscular effort and reinforce the immune system’s defenses. |
|
Hops turn out to be a
real medicinal plant. For example,
hops are known to calm the spirit: beer works on our nervous system and
reduces stress. In olden days, mothers would place a small sack of hops
under their child’s pillow to guarantee a good night’s sleep.
It is also known to improve the quality of the skin, nails and hair, and to reduce eczema and acne. In ancients time, its restorative properties were already revered: Cleopatra maintained the softness of her skin by bathing in beer. |

Alcohol in small quantities, carbohydrates, dextrin, maltose and amino acids, mineral salts: calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper, manganese and iron, vitamins: B1, B2, B6, B9, B12, PP and PCA – all are contained in beer.

A true Fountain of Youth... but remember, as in all things, moderation
!
